I need to preface this by saying 2 months isn’t really indicative of how much yours could be growing in this time. The seed provides some nutrients, but hydroponic nutrients in addition would have had this guy’s tail a lot longer had I started it earlier. That said, this was an overdo rehoming.

I got it dialed in with the container full enough that the little tail would be dipping into the solution.
For some reason thought it would be a good idea to leave it resting on top while I wrapped the container in foil. Bad idea. The seed fell off the top of the container and hit the counter, splitting in half…
Arggggh! It sure sucks when you’ve been babying something this long and then you potentially cause irreversible damage to it. Rather than give up, I grabbed a toothpick, broke a half inch or so off, and shoved it into one side of the seed, then sandwiched the other half into it.
Looks like we have two experiments in one… wish me luck!
